We Will Help You Gain Back Full Function
Our Treatments Include:
Manual Spinal Manipulation
Dr. Malon provides manual manipulation (chiropractic adjustments). For this service, he uses his hands to provide a controlled force to the specific spinal joints that are causing pain or decreased range of motion. The purpose is to create proper mechanical motion of the joints and create a smoother, easier spinal motion. You may or may not hear a “popping” sound while receiving adjustments, but rest assured this sound is just a release of gas in the spinal fluid.
We recommend exercises and stretches to our patients based on their specific needs. We will instruct you on how to properly perform the exercises so you can continue your path to a full recovery and a self-management program.
This treatment is used to treat herniated, ruptured, or bulging spinal discs that cause sciatica, leg pain, and stenosis. It involves using a decompression table to provide non-force spinal manipulation that widens the joint space and disc space, decompressing the nerve and improving the motion of the vertebral segments.
The Graston Technique is an instrument-assisted, soft-tissue mobilization treatment that addresses adhesions, scar tissue, and restrictions that affect normal function. We use multiple instruments to run over the affected tissues, breaking them apart, allowing for the restoration of healthier tissue.
We use instruments, including the Activator Adjusting Instrument and a neuroanatomical mechanical stimulator, to provide gentle impulses to move the vertebrae into a position of better mechanical motion and to release the surrounding muscles. Because the impulses are delivered quickly, the body is less likely to stiffen up between impulses.
Debbi-Jo Harvey, our board-certified physical therapist, with greater than 25 years of experience, offers a wide range of physical therapy modalities, including exercise rehabilitation, soft tissue myofascial release techniques, ultrasound and electrical stimulation. These treatments are designed to ease muscle spasms, increase blood flow to the affected areas, reduce swelling, decrease pain, and increase strength and endurance.
